| I don't understand what happened to Jon & Kate Gosselin. Married for 10 years, 8 kids, and just last year, they renewed their wedding vows in Hawaii. Now they're getting a divorce??
A child of the D word, myself, I guess I really don't understand why people get divorced anyway. Jon and Kate can both be quoted as saying "we're doing what's best for the kids", but isn't staying together best for the kids??
Separation is a whole other issue. Separating for a period of time, is much less tragic than a permanent dissolution. I can understand how separation is best for the adults. A lot of pain and fighting calls for a much needed BREAK. But, Mommy and Daddy not being together is NOT best for the kids. Its one thing if the situation is abusive or negligent, etc; but Jon and Kate can be quoting saying that they "don't hate" each other. They also said they'd love to "be friends". So why not STAY TOGETHER FOR THE KIDS??
“On Monday June 22, 2009, legal proceedings were initiated in Pennsylvania to dissolve the ten-year marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin.”
I guess not.
It's sad & its unfortunate, but I wish them all the best and pray that God would move mightily in their lives.
HIS will be done.

| Hey all... Sooo.... Kyle & I totally went to the Chris Tomlin concert last night! AND we had awesome seats! Main floor, five rows from the stage!!! AHH!!!! It reminds me of one of my favorite Life Light memories...we were so close to the stage that I was able to reach out and TOUCH Chris Tomlin's chuck! Anyway... I had a blast! Thank you, Cory!

| It's official!
The new President of the United States of America is Barack H. Obama! I've been watching the coverage all morning, and I have to admit, it's been pretty intriguing!
I was really excited to see former President George W. Bush. I'd say I was even more excited to see Bush than Obama, because I hadn't seen Bush in a long time. Everything seemed to go just fine & it truly is the beginning of a new era....

| I'm bored.
I guess I'll tell a quick story from work...OK, so I work at an elementary school before & after school. So one day, after school, right before the bell rings, the principal announces (as she does every day) that the "walkers" (kids who are walking home) need to meet at the front of the school as soon as they get out of class. So, the bell rings and I see this little kindergarten boy, Alex that goes to Kids Campus going to the front of the school.
I say, "Hey, Alex, where ya goin bud?" And he says, "Mrs. Doerr said to go to the front of the school." So I asked him, "Are you walking home today?" He says, "I don't know. I'm a walker and Mrs. Doerr said--" "Ok, well I'll go check."
So I'm going to find out if Alex is supposed to be at Kids Campus today or if he's walking home...And as I'm walking into the gym, it hits me: Alex's last name is Walker! So when he heard, "All the walkers, please come to the front of the school" he thought he was supposed to go!

Kids are so funny & cute in their innocence!
Remain awesome,
